Taking into consideration the rapid development of the country and the rising demand of electricity and electrification and thereby the demand of the most economical and durable pre-stressed concrete poles in the expansion of the electrical power network, this industry was registered and established in 1993 in the Department of Industry, Government of Nepal & also is ISO 2001:2015 Certified Company.
Traditionally wooden poles and steel tubular poles were used in the electrification network. Due to the decay and rusting behaviour and also the incurring high cost of the products, it has been replacing by the low cost of durable pre-stressed concrete poles.
Himalayan Pole Industries (P) Ltd. Signed an agreement with Interex-Aistom Consortium, Denmark under the contract No. 11685/02, on the 7th April 2003, the order of manufacturing and supply of pre-stressed concrete poles of 8,9,10,11 meter length, for the Kailali, Kanchanpur Rural Electrification Project in the Far Western Development Region of the KingDom of Nepal. Completed project work in time more than 23,500 poles supplied.
Since the industry has started its mobilization in the setting project vicinity, and has been working in a war basis to meet the requirement of the project. The industry is strongly determined to be in close coordination in maintenance of quality control standards in the manufacturing of the poles.
